I’m an author, essayist, educator, and non-practicing attorney. After my husband died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, I instinctively began to write about my grief as an act of self-preservation. From messy stream-of-consciousness writing to crafted essays and my graphic novel memoir, American Widow, all of my writings helped me (and continue to help me) through my most difficult times. I now teach what I know to students of all ages. Please check out my upcoming courses.
